Alsager is such a brilliant place to live. Alsager deserves to have local councillors who champion our town and deliver for residents. Councillors should also be open and accessible. Over the past 4 years, only Labour councillors have held regular surgeries for residents to raise issues and conducted regular ‘ward walks’ in the community. We have also work closely with Labour colleagues and others from other parties to deliver for residents.

If elected, we will:

• Provide strong representation for residents on Cheshire East Council
• Always seek to put Alsager residents first
• Be open and accessible by holding regular surgeries and ward walks
• Ensure Cheshire East Council remains a council transformed and never slips back to the dark days of scandal and police investigations that happened under the previous Conservative administration
• Resist any attempt to water down the Code of Conduct for Councillors, as previously tried by the Conservatives
• Support devolution to Cheshire, bringing more local powers and funding
• Promote and work on devolution where needed to Town & Parish Councils, including our own, ensuring more local decisions are in the hands of local councillors and residents
