Alsager Civic Green
Alsager Civic Green

Alsager is a brilliant place to live and is surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Our environment needs to be valued and protected now and for the future.

Climate Change is one of the biggest challenges we face – not just as a town, or a country, but as an entire human race. We all need to do our bit to help tackle climate change – thats why we have to achieve our 2025 carbon neutral target and make the case for Alsager to be a pilot town for environmental projects and investment.

If elected, we plan to:

  • Work to tackle climate change through local environmental projects
  • Support new tree planting schemes in Alsager
  • Push for the installation of electric car charging points
  • Protect our local green spaces that provide for wildlife such as Cranberry Moss, Fanny’s Croft, Borrow Pit Meadows & the Salt Line
  • Support the volunteer Alsager Clean Team
  • Following a successful pilot, keep and seek to expand the Town Ranger service in Alsager
  • Promote cycling as a means to improve health, wellbeing & the environment, and work at getting better cycle infrastructure
  • Ensure the council meets its carbon neutral target
  • Work to make Alsager a carbon neutral pilot town
