Action for Alsager is a campaign to elect Brian Drake & Michael Unett to Cheshire East Council to bring change in Alsager and deliver for residents.

BRIAN DRAKE

Brian moved to Alsager in 1990 with his wife and children as his wife joined Cedars Medical Centre as a partner, then becoming senior partner from where she retired 4 years ago.

Brian has enjoyed a varied career in supply chain management, where he held senior management positions in various companies. 12 years ago, he formed and was Director of a supply chain consultancy advising businesses on Global, European and UK supply chain management projects.

Brian retired 3 years ago and stood in the 2021 by-election for Alsager Town Council. He narrowly lost out but has continued to actively campaign and raise issues locally.

Brian strongly believes in the importance of councillors ensuring that residents receive value for money and that the council administers its budget prudently.

As a Labour Councillor on Cheshire East, Brian wishes to provide a strong voice on behalf of Alsager.

MICHAEL UNETT

Michael is an Alsager resident & local campaigner who has served as a Labour Councillor on Alsager Town Council for the past 4 years, also serving as the Council’s Chair for the 2021-22 Civic Year – the youngest person ever to have served in that role.

Michael is also a founding member and current Secretary of Pride In Alsager.

Michael has worked with Labour colleagues and others on several issues across Alsager and has a strong record of delivery – campaigning to get traffic lights installed to make the Linley Junction safer and the return of EMR services to Alsager Station to name just a few examples.

Michael is passionate about Alsager and wants to use his experience so far to champion our town, listen to residents and deliver. Michael can provide a strong voice for Alsager and he would be honoured to be given the opportunity to serve and represent his hometown on Cheshire East Council.
