East Midlands Railway have announced their new timetable and that they will be dropping their hourly service between Derby & Crewe from calling at Alsager from 7th September.

EMR will only be running one service in the morning and evenings until the end of the year and there has been little to no consultation.

Alsager is a growing town and with more people beginning to return to work, school, college and university from September, this will have an impact on our town that already has poor transport links due to previous cuts to bus services.

We have written to object to this decision and have started a petition that already has almost 1,000 signatures calling on EMR to reverse their decision.
