Application 19/0529C for warehousing on the Radway Green North site on Crewe Rd has been unanimously refused by the Strategic Planning Board last Wednesday.

Michael Unett went to the meeting to speak against the plans that would have had a detrimental impact on Alsager.

Michael said “If approved this application would be detrimental to Alsager, its residents, the natural environment and would see very few jobs created for all that we would lose. The previous application was refused due to the massing of large structures along the site and little has changed with this plan. Much better can be done for employment on this site” 

There was a high number of objections from residents and councillors from across Alsager. A number of residents and councillors attended to speak against the proposals.

Alsager Labour will continue to play its part in helping to oppose warehousing on this site and to ensure we get the right plan for employment in Alsager.
